Incremental Sales with Auto Response Emails

Auto Response emails are excellent for bringing additional sales to your web site and represent a selling opportunity most people miss.

Almost all ecommerce sites send out emails confirming orders or telling customers when products have shipped but only a few use that opportunity to further engage their customer.

MaxEXP has the ability to make recommendations, show related testimonials or ask for a product review via these emails.

Imagine a customer who just bought a flashlight opening his order confirmation and seeing a selection of accessories that go with that exact flashlight and reviews of the products being offered.

We've found that about 4% of customers getting these types of emails will make an additional purchase. And the average order size has been very healthy.

It's found money!

Another place we've use Auto Response emails is to ask for product reviews.

21 days after a product has shipped, we'll ask the customer for a review of the product they purchased. We'll also incent them with a discount for their next purchase. The idea is to make multiple sales to the same customer.

Of course, we also make specific product recommendations in these emails as well.

Once they are set up, Auto Response emails are an easy, simple way to generate more business from your existing customers.

Product Pages Basics

I came across a graphic on elliance.com that does a great job of pointing five important elements that should be part of every product page. I would add a 6th - have a big, obvious "add to cart" button!
